The art of portraiture has been around for has long as humans have created art. When you think of portraits, you may think of the iconic noble, royal, religious, or famous figures of the past that were created. However, portraiture goes beyond capturing the likeness of the subject.

Today, portraiture is done in a variety of mediums. Artists use traditional techniques, sometimes using technological tools as well. The art of portraiture is now more popular than ever.
